notes:

• as with acts 1 & 2, it’s worth rereading the very end of act 5 before going into act 6.
• i feel like it’s worth noting that one of my beta reader’s comments on this chapter was “u and ur fucking rain.” it’s just who i am as a person. also, if i wasn’t going to have a boombox scene, then this teen movie au needed a kiss in the rain.
• remember when we all called ourselves “nonconformists?” me too. the word had to make a cameo in this fic somewhere.
• come clean was going to be on the playlist for this chapter, but it was released in january 2004, and the rain scene happens in november 2003, so i just couldn’t justify it. so yesterday, on the other hand, was released in april 2003 and made the perfect soundtrack to chris’s reckless driving.
• i’m sure it doesn’t need saying but just in case, don’t drive drunk like chris does. there’s so much irresponsible behaviour in this fic, haha.
• yes, as of the epilogue-esque scene, yuuri has a phone! he saved up and bought it for himself. viktor kept trying to buy him one but yuuri threatened to start wearing his daggy dance clothes to school again so viktor relented. true romance :’)
